Windows Secrets Newsletter reported problems with diginotar root certificates and published instructions for manual removal of the certificate(s) from Internet Explorer (IE) but not Foxfire. Also, Microsoft issued a patch to remove the suspect certificates for IE. Firefox help notes indicate that Mozilla was aware of the problem and issued Firefox updates to fix the problem; however, when I view certificates in Firefox, several Diginotar certificates are still listed and when I delete them they just come right back. Is there a fix for the suspect Diginotar certificate problem? (I repeat, when I delete the certificates they disappear from the list, but the next time I look they are right back on the list.) GHS

Firefox 6.0.2 has a patch to disable the DigiNotar root certificates by removing all trust bits.
You can see that if you click the edit button in the Certificate Manager

  • Tools > Options > Advanced : Encryption: Certificates - View Certificates
