My new bookmarks now appear at the top of the drop-down menu, not at the bottom like before. Why?

It used to be that when I created a new bookmark and saved in the Bookmarks Menu it would go to the bottom of the list on the Bookmarks drop-down menu. Now, new bookmarks go to the top of the drop-down menu and appear ABOVE the "Recent Tags" and "Recently Bookmarks" folder. How can I fix this?

This behavior may have been changed by an extension.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

The problem is fixed, thank you! It was indeed caused by one of my extensions.

I wish I knew how to make new bookmarks appear at the top of the menu rather then the bottom. Could you tell me which extension did this?

Thanks!

the extension that was causing new bookmarks to appear at the top of the list was either "bookmark this page" or "stumbleupon." i'm not sure...
