Thread bug: messages that shouldn't go together are in the same thread

I've been experiencing this very annoying bug for a while now. Messages that shouldn't be sorted together end up in the same thread, even though they don't have the same subject nor the same recipients at all. I get this a lot and I don't know why. Sometimes it gets hard find a message because it's hidden in thread that it doesn't belong to.

See the attached image as an example: messages with 4 different subjects are sorted in the same thread.

I have found no information whatsoever on this bug so far. I just upgraded to TB 78.2.1 but the bug's still here.

I disabled mail.correct_threading in config and it seems to work better.

It could also be caused by a corrupted index. Have you tried right-clicking the folder, Properties, Repair Folder?
