Hi,

I want to keep all my e-mails stored in my Local Folders (not in the GMAIL Folders). I set up the account for an "IMAP Mail Server", with "Copies & Folders" set-up for "Place a Copy in" a Local Folder. My problem is that this setting works for a few days and then I found that the setting reverts back to a GMAIL Folder. Only the "Templates Folder" remains in the Local Folder Setting.

Thank you, Domingo

re : "IMAP Mail Server", with "Copies & Folders" set-up for "Place a Copy in"

Are you selecting the option called 'Other' and then 'chosen folder in Local Folders' ? If no, then please try that option.

Note: Imap mail accounts will find 'Sent' copies are auto stored by gmail in the gmail 'Sent' folder anyway, even if it not selected in Thunderbird.

If you use a program like CCleaner please make sure it has no access to any Thunderbird file or folder as it can delete temp files and other files such as session data or even passwords.

Thank you for your reply.

I tried both possible settings (i.e. "Sent" & "Other"). In both cases Thunderbird changed the settings from the selected Local Folders to the GMAIL Folders.

Thank you, Domingo
