I had to open a new gmail account, because I can't access my old account. I don't know the password. I always went through Firefox and there was my email. Now it only goes to my new email. There are 2 things you can do. In Firefox, go to Options, Tab Security, click the button Saved passwords. Then click Show passwords, yes. See if gmail or google mail is there.

If that fails, you can go to gmail.com, don't sign in but click on the link for no access to your account (below the sign in area), follow the steps (hoping you supplied gmail with an alternative e-mail address).

And of course always remember the password from now on ;)
