I've used Thunderbird for my Yahoo email for years successfully. I recently replaced my Yahoo account with Gmail. I completely removed my yahoo account profile and created my new Gmail profile in Thunderbird. I've set all of the IN and OUT settings properly (imap SSL 993 for in; smtp SSL/TLS 465 for out). However for some reason when opening Thunderbird it still tries to connect/authenticate to imap.mail.yahoo.com (while using my Gmail credentials). I can find nowhere to change/remove that Yahoo imap setting or change it to Gmail. All settings appear correctly configured to Gmail. Any ideas on a fix?

Look at tools>account setting and scroll down left side bar to Outgoing Server. That may still be YAHOO. You can also check by reviewing Gmail account and seeing what smtp server it is connected with.
