switch from POP to IMAP but i
found 2 sets of instructions to change from POP to IMAP but instructions do not offer the options indicated. I am using Thunderbird 45.2.0 and apparently my version has the options in different locations that shown on the 2 sets of instructions. I am an amateur with this stuff so I need detailed instructions to make change. Thanks

Press the alt key to make the Menu Bar appear and try following the instruction using that.

You can not "change" you have to add the account again as the type you want and remove the other one.
OK, but when I tried to follow the instructions per Thunderbird support the options on the instructions list do not appear as options on the monitor. Apparently the instructions were for a different version of Thunderbird and the options must have been moved elsewhere but where?
