I can't get rid of Visual Bee when I open the browser. But, I was able to remove it from the search engine and from the control pannel.

Like I said. I removed it from the control pannel and the search engine. But it appears as the homepage when I open the browser. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but nothing seems to work.

Three things to check for home page takeover:

(1) Unwanted extension

Disable or remove ALL unnecessary and/or unrecognized extensions on the following tab. If you don't know why you have it, disable it.

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

(2) Home page setting

This article has the steps to edit your home page: How to set the home page

(3) User.js

A user.js file can overwrite your preferences every time you start Firefox. This article has the steps to check for that and remove it if you find it: How to fix preferences that won't save

Hopefully that will get you the home page you want and keep it that way. Any luck?

Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page Search for ‘browser.newtab.url’. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab. Search for other instances of visualbee. Visual bee is a hijacker, in some cases it might revert the settings back. Make sure you have cleaned your control panel programs throughly.

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
