"Bookmark this page" or (CTRL+D) not working. Could be a coincidence, but, it was always working before and I just updated from 3.6.10 to 3.6.11 3 days ago, and I don't often bookmark pages, so the break may have occurred across the Firefox update.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Tried deleting the entire profile folder and all contents, and replacing with a backup profile made about a month ago - and no change. So this swap replaced all the sqlite.*** files with old ones automatically

Restarting Firefox has the same result "Bookmark this page" not working. As far as I can tell this is the only function not working.

For what it worth, "Bookmark all tabs..." function works fine as does "organize bookmarks ...". I don't use google toolbar, or yahoo toolbar, or any other toolbar - just what comes with Firefox and plugins and add-ons.

Also, the plug-in updater does not function, when I click "find updates", I get a new tab with an error message -

Plugin Finding Service Error We've encountered an error. Please try your request again later.

But it never works.

Solved the "Bookmark this page" problem! Ran Firefox in safe mode and disabled all addons -voila the "Bookmark this page" WORKED. By trial and error, narrowed it down to Public Fox v1.08. Disabled it, and everything is working again.

Still don't understand the plugin update thing - will work on it when I have time. Meanwhile auto updates on plugins is not triggering any out of date plugins, so I can;'t be too bad.
