I simply want to open Firefox to search!

I downloaded Firefox to my android. I was asked to log on and sync. This took some time because of psssword resets etc. Still cant get to the search page. Its asking me to link to my desktop. Too many loops to navigate to get this set up. I just want to look something up on my mobile. Completely lost in a stupid set up loop and cant get out of it. How do I get to the search page?
