I have a window with 5 tabs. I select New Tab and the screen opens a new empty tab but the top still only shows 5 tabs, the 6th (new) tab is invisible, so I cannot click back on it if I go to another tab...

Does it work better in a new window and reopen your current tabs in that window?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Opening a new window and re-opening my tabs there did the trick. Thanks!
