a nasty word appears in Find In This Page Search Field every time I open the search bar. How to stop it?
I don't know if this is a malicious hacker in mozilla or what. A word keeps appearing in firefox every time I open the Find In This Page Search Field every time I open the search bar. I deleted copy of firefox and installed a fresh copy and it appears yet. I have the latest version of firefox 60 and macos up to date.

Click in the field, enter a character or two and STOP ! Using the arrow keys, highlight an unwanted entry. Then press Delete (Mac=Shift Delete). Repeat as needed.
"Find in page" sounds like the Firefox Find bar at the bottom of the Firefox window that opens on Mac via Command+F (other platforms: Ctrl+F).
This bar populates with what is currently selected on the web page and has an undo stack (Command+Z), so you can recall terms you previously used during the current session. I don't think that this stack would survive a close and restart.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
