I had sync working on my windows machine, and firefox was always up to date. After re-installing windows I connected to my Sync straight away account and nothing is updating, no bookmarks, history, passwords, nothing. No, I haven't upgraded to a new sync or old sync or anything like that, i didn't even know there were different ones. How do I get my data back and sync working again?

Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup device, but merely to sync data between multiple devices. So it is not guaranteed that you can restore data from the Sync server.

That kinda sucks. I was primarily using it as safeguard in case of a PC failure, but since it doesn't safeguard against that, I guess i can stop using sync now. Thanks
