I have Windows 11, Firefox yahoo email. I must have clicked somewhere that consolidated all my email to the left in a narrow format. Can't locate where to correct it. Also had no luck attaching a screen shot. Next to the condensed email, is another column that is blank except for the white envelope. Is there a place where I can change the format? Thank you.

I want to change "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" preference to true. So I do it in about:config page and if I reaccess this page in another tab within the session, then my value is being kept.

However, when I restart Firefox (thru "Exit" in "File" menu), all previous pages get restored and that preference is "false" again in the config after a new browser start.

I also made a user.js file with the following content: // user_pref("browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count", 0); user_pref("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once",true);

Nothing helps.

Please let me know how I can modify the config file.

After masking them with my duck duck go service, I can't find the link to verify my emails. Where can I see any return responses using my mask email?

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum! David, here are two screen shots (ss) to clarify my issue with email and a third regarding another issue (see below).

Number one ss shows what I see when I go to Thunderbird. I am allowed to delete if I wish by first marking the email and then clicking delete. If, however, I wish to view the message, Number two ss appears. I cannot delete the message without going back to Number one ss as that option has now disappeared. This was no problem on my old computer.

The other issue is related to the above. I have over 250 emails without being able to access them (see Number three ss). On the left upper side is the number of emails I have, but only six old emails appear, something that is confirmed in the upper right frame. No matter what I do, I cannot access them.

I use fire fox as my default browser. It is still the default but now when I go to search the yahoo start page comes on. I cannot search with fire fox as this stupid yahoo home page over rides it. Please help!

Hi, got a problem for the last several days - on each visited site Firefox (my guess) is launching a pop up about add-ons for Ad Blocks tham I am using were updated with official national filters for Polish market.

This is super annoying and the pop-up jumps on almost every new site bieng visited (it is visible for ca. 5 seconds). Is there any way to stop it? How can I dissable this feature?

I just got my PC back from the shop. It's the best LG Gram laptop they had with Windows 11, and it's 1-yr old. Much on it was corrupted and I'm having to reload many items, one being my Firefox. It wouldn't open up. I did the right-click on my mouse and hit the OPEN selection. Firefox still wouldn't open up. I reloaded Firefox hoping that it would correct whatever may be wrong. No, it still won't open up. I'm reaching you now via TOR. My TOR was also reinstalled, but it is able to open up. Can you think of what I may have done wrong? [I'm unable to check the option-email me when someone answers my thread {this email must be a thread}, but this will be fine.] Please note that I am so NOT tech-savvy, I don't even have any smart/mobile/cell phone. Just a plain old phone. (I should add I'm in my 70's, ill, and in a Nursing Home.) I looked through your troubleshooting sugggestions, but they are too fancy for me to understand. I'm not sure how this works, but I sure do hope you can offer some suggestions as to what I can try. Thanks so very much for your time and consideration of this matter. It's very much appreciated.

Background (2024): Created my userChrome.css file, on my desktop, 4 or 5 years ago when I was using Windows 8.1. At best I am an experimenter with userChrome. Last year, due to another problem, I had to update to Windows 10. So far, so good. My userChrome file held through the update.

Fast forward: In May I had a hard drive crash (total DOA) and had to buy a new desktop (Dell) with Windows 11 (I almost regret that), 64-bit. Also using FireFox 127.0.2. After more than a month, most of my software and files are working again.

Current problem: My userChrome file is not working as it used to. I had it backed up to other places, so I know it is not the file. I am missing the “tabs bar”; the one with the FireFox icon at the far left, then (in my case) a Google box, and then the “+” for Tabs.

That bar is missing and I can not figure out why. I suspect something changed in Firefox. I do not see how Windows 11 (god forbid) would do anything like that.

I can not create additional tabs or move between them.

I suspect that the “solid” black bar after the Bookmarks toolbar(s) may be involved.

My “colors” seem to be OK and the location of everything else is acceptable with the exception of the “Find in this page (Ctrl+F)”. The ‘magnifying glass is in the correct place on the second bar but the box to enter data is at the bottom. The box used to be just in front of the ‘magnifying glass’. Not as critical as the “tabs bar” but annoying.

Don't see how to attach my userChrome.css (as userChrome.txt). I can supply the file or post it.

Can anyone make a simple suggestion for a simple senior citizen?

I added a secondary email to my account last September--or so I thought. My profile currently shows only the email I log in with. When I try to add a secondary email, I am told that another user has registered this email (same response for two different emails). Note that I regularly receive email from Mozilla at the secondary email address. Why isn't this showing up in my profile?

I've been using Firefox since the very beginning, and try to contribute to support it and Thunderbird when I can. But today, in order to get messages from my health care provider at Kaiser Permanente -- kp.org -- and get a document I needed for physical therapy, I had to sign in via Microsoft Edge in order to log in to my member account. On my Windows 11 Pro computer, I kept getting the message shown in the attached screenshot = "this page isn't redirecting properly".

I WAS able to sign in to kp.org from my mobile phone, but couldn't download the document from there. But at least I was able to send an message to my doctor asking them to send me the document via snail-mail.

At first I thought the problem was the Kaiser web site (which admittedly is pretty gawdawful). Didn't have time to pursue it last week, because I was attending an all-day class Mon-Fri. Finally today, when I got the same Firefox error message, I tried to access kp.org via Microsoft Edge. Sure enough, it worked.

Then I searched Mozilla support, and found a closed message thread indicating that the problem had theoretically been "solved" by some sort of programming fix as of June 12th or thereabouts.

I do NOT want to switch to a browser maintained by Monopolists'R'Us. I still bear a grudge because about 30 years ago they killed or marginalized two of my favorite programs (Lotus and WordPerfect) by giving away Excel and Word for free with Windows. Even if I LIKED Microsoft, the default user interface is cluttered with too many cutesy-poo widgets and AS (artificial stupidity) "help" that I do not want. But I'm an old lady (84), and if I need to communicate with my health care providers, I will have to use whatever method works, no matter how much it galls me.

Hope you guys can find a fix to this problem that works for EVERYBODY (including me). Thanks for your attention.

Hi, I can't open my gmail or youtube in Firefox. I run Norton Security and recently signed up to their 'clean up' software, I think this may have removed google cookies? I can access mt email by installing Chrome but I don't want it on my pc. Help!

For about a couple of weeks, there has been a lot of delay between what I type and when it actually appears. It's maddening! I have not changed any of my Firefox settings. I did a 'refresh' about an hour ago. I am not seeing any network activity that I cannot recognize. I d/l'd 'Malwarebytes' and ran it..."no threats". MS Defender has always been on & protecting me. I have never had this situation occur before and am hoping for some help (5 to 10 seconds to wait for what you've keyed in is not fun).

Recently I've notice a large amount of advertisements popping in most of the sites I visit on the Internet. This is particularly frustrating for sites where I pay to be a member, like the Ney York Times. I'm not sure there is any function in Foxfire to help me with this problem, but if there is I'd like to know about it and how to use it. Thank you.

Hello! A tech rebooted my computer and all files were saved, but this person failed to do a backup of my browsers. I don't think I was logged in to any session in Firefox, but my bookmarks and passwords were saved.

Is there any way I can recover that information? I already tried and there seems to be no other sessions than the current one saved.

I have been dealing with problems with Firefox and YouTube for a long time. Every time I open a YouTube video in a new tab it would always give me this grey screen that goes away after a long time waiting.

I have tried:

• Refreshing Firefox
• Reinstalling Firefox
• Troubleshoot Mode, which the problem persist in troubleshoot mode so its not an addon
• Tried creating a new profile
• User-Agent Switcher which doesn't work all the time.

I want to avoid going chromium-based browsers but this is making me consider.

For the past couple of weeks I have been getting the "Hmmm, We're having trouble finding that site" error screen quite often from both searches and links from other sites. It's always happened once in a while but it hasn't been anything bothersome. However recently it has become quite bothersome because it's happening a lot! However not all the time. It's not completely broken, just mostly. And it's happening while trying to visit sites that I know and visit frequently such as Amazon, Ebay, and even sites for local businesses that I trust and know are working. I'm not having any internet issues with my home wifi, nor am I having this issue with other browsers. I have however also noticed it on my Firefox mobile browser as well. I posted about this a few days ago and got some email back about an issue with my post. If this happens with this one and I'm unable to get this resolved I will just get rid of Firefox on my devices. FF has been a long time favorite and is usually set as my default browser but if stuff like this is going to continue, I can change that real fast. There are plenty of other browsers that work just fine and have decent customer support.
