I have several g-mail accounts that I used to open on Firefox - until yesterday. Now I'm getting a silly message below:

I'm working on ASUS, on Windows 86bit. If I reboot my PC g-mail works again for a couple of hours. I have no problem accessing my g-mail accounts from Chrome.

Despite literally hours of frustrating -- now infuriating -- effort, my inbox won't show "from," which was removed by the most recent update. Is this problem fixable? If so, how? (If not, I'm damn well going to dump Thunderbird.)

I'm switching from Edge and have a frustrating issue.

In Edge I am very used to having separate behaviour for links with left and middle click.

i.e. from Gmail, if I left click a link it opens in a new tab and switches to the tab, if I middle click a link it opens in a new tab but stays on the current tab

In Firefox both seem to be controlled by the single setting.

I have looked in about:config and tried changing a few flags but cannot seem to find a combination that works how I want it.

Can anyone help?

This is a real dealbreaker for me and I will switch back if there's no solution :(

i have 2 desk top windows 10 comps and an ipad and i phone which all share the same email address. 1 comp works fine, the other desktop and ipad will send emails but not receive them, the iphone can send emails and sometimes receives them but not all the time. IMAP port 993 and ssl/tls with normal password. Disabling Avast anti virus did not fix it. any ideas?

am running firefox 127.0.1 on a windows 11 desktop. Numerous sites that use a captcha to login fail. In other words, the captcha never loads and I cannot login to those sites. Such sites include teamfaderpro, Coursera, and bandcamp. All logins fail as the captcha is required to be passed prior to logging in, but the captcha never appears and so when I try to log in, nothing happens and I cannot login.

I have tried the above same sites on the Edge browser and have no such issue, the captcha shows and I can login.

Just FYI, the agent switcher setting change recommended by others previously is not suitable. When I tried that fix I was unable to access a considerable percentage of the internet due to some cloudflare issue, so the agent switcher setting is not an option. So far, I have tried all recommended settings to fix this issue and nothing has worked.

I am surprised no one else is having this issue.

Any help is appreciated, or at least inform google/mozilla about this issue as it has been ongoing (on and off) for me for many months. And yes, this problem is persistent for me at the moment, it remains despite rebooting windows, despite clearing cookies and cache (which I have set to automatically delete when exiting firefox).

I cannot send or receive messages on my Thunderbird a/c. I Believe I have to firstly update my email password from my supplier (Spark New Zealand) but to date I have been unable to do this. Greetings, recently our pc was attacked ,malware. A new windows program was installed. This resulted in some apps being deleted. One of which was the Firefox email. Inspite of many attempts to reinstate it I have had no success. There is great difficulty in finding what to do to reinstall. There are assumptions that I have particular information. Other than our 3 email addresses we do have any code numbers or passwords, as these to were also lost. As it has been several days since the "repair" the inability to access Firefox with historic emails is now creating a number of serious issues. I need urgent help in reinstalling our Firefox email. My inability to find that one person who I know can help is out there. The FAQ were of no help. The request how to reinstall Firefox does not appear to be a FAQ. Ross.

I just noticed (after 7 yrs) I have Thunderbird(beta) 32 bit on my laptop windows 10 (64 bit machine) and Thunderbird 64 bit on my desk top Windows 10 (64 bit machine). How do I get the 64 bit Thunderbird on the laptop without loosing all my settings to login to my 4 email accounts?

I back up my TB profile every few months. I just went thru the Cox-Yahoo email conversion and I am getting emails. When I did my back up, I noticed in the properties it had one more folder and the files went from 1311 to 2585 files. Is something wrong? Do I need to compare and research what is causing this or just move on!

Not sure of the best way to ask this. I am using TB 102.13 on a win 7 pro desktop machine.

Cox recently ported my email acount to Yahoo. There are about 100K emails in my cox inbox that were ported to yahoo. After modifying the server settings in TB so that I can use TB with the Yahoo server (I use POP settings), TB now sees all of the 100K emails as new, and each time I click the "get messages" button it starts downloading all of the 100K emails. I closed out of TB to stop the download.

I am told that in order for TB to only download actual new emails from the Yahoo server, I must let this process run. However, my official TB inbox uses about 30 filters to place incoming emails into the correct folders as they are downloaded.

All I want is to download the emails currently on the Yahoo server into a new created "dummy" inbox folder so that after the massive download, I can delete the folder and get back to being able to use TB appropriately. Can someone provide a 'how to" for doing this? TIA

Using the latest version of Firefox on Android mobile – Huawei / EMUI 12.0.0.149 Normal browsing, not using Private.

Several tabs are open, all specified to show Desktop view. But when I re-open the browser (while it's still running in the background, e.g. if I'd been using a different app or just hadn't looked at the page in a few mins), pages automatically refresh in Mobile view.

Additionally, the "Desktop site" toggle can get stuck: Shows Desktop being on, but the page is in Mobile view and if the button is tapped again, it just keeps refreshing in Mobile. The whole app has to be restarted to fix it.

Ideally, open tabs would stay in the specified view (Desktop) and not refresh automatically. Bonus, if there were also a master toggle to select the view you prefer all tabs to use.

Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64-bit) on Linux Debian 12, I have several accounts in a panel on the left. When the accounts are collapsed, they unexpectedly expand and make it difficult to know which account's email I'm reading on the right.

How do I control that behavior, please?
