Installation failed, please close any running Firefox windows, etc. Keeps failing. Downloaded manually. Can't drag to Applications folder, no permission etc. Can dbl-click and open Version4, first with the current tabs, I had open before, but then it didn't ask to save them when I quit. When I restarted, there were tabs from weeks ago, and none of the current ones I had before. It's still not installed, and now I'm waiting for y'all to get this fixed I reckon...?

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

  • Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
  • Install the new version that you have downloaded
