How can I make my new pinned tabs page 4x4 rather than 3x3

I went to about:config and changed the 3 to a 4 on the following - browser.newtabpage.rows;4 - browser.pagethumbnails.storage_version;4

Closed the page then restarted Fire Fox. But I still get the 3x3 default on my new pinned tabs page.

Thx !

Chosen solution

The tile size is now fixed. Without a high resolution screen most users won't see anything beyond 3 cols x 2 rows.

This extension has its' own prefs for rows and columns that actually work in Firefox 33. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/?src=ss

Try zooming out and see what happens.

I tried that and it works on the current window only. If I open a new tab or restart Fire Fox then it goes back to 3x3 pin set up.
