Quicktime loaded video fine on FF3 but in FF4 it crashes and takes much longer to load a video and with no status bar

I designed a website with Adobe Golive and used their plugin for quicktime videos. Everything ran fine on Firefox 3. I downloaded Firefox 4 yesterday and now after very long load-in times I frequently get a message that quicktime crashed. Also there area where video displays, now displays the background as if nothing is there until the video is fully loaded. Before the video player was visible along with the load in status in the play bar, so we knew something was loading in. What happened?
