Firefox 25 advises an update's available-then says "up to date"
1st - is there a way to set # of search results per page? Don't see it in acct settings. Too few results / page & takes too long to go from pg to pg. I don't have dial up any more.:)
This is 1st time I've ever seen this. Update notifies me Fx 25.0.1 is available. Then when do a manual "update now," it immediately returns "Firefox is up to date." But it's not.
Yeah, I can d/l the entire installer. I can dig a pipeline trench w/ a teaspoon, but I don't want to. Is this a problem that popped in v 25? Update from 24 to 25.o worked fine, for me.
Thanks.

hello, there is a scheduled downtime of the update server and other services for maintenance work for the next few hours - in the meantime you can download the new version manually from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
regarding your first question, it would obviously depend on what search site you're on, but in any case you might want to refer to its help section to get an answer for it...

Thanks. OK - maybe it's because the server is down, but the msg Fx gives - Firefox is up to date - is a wrong as wrong gets. Instead of "having problems reaching server now - try later."
Leads users to believe manual update has bought the big one. Or, unobservant users may think it actually did the update.
Search: I'm on THIS site - doing searches. You didn't think I was asking how to set # search results on Microsoft, did you? :)
yeah, i suspected you were inquiring about google or some sorts...
unfortunately i don't think there's an option to adjust the number of search results per page here on support.mozilla.org - there's an advanced search at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/search?a=2 but it doesn't include anything like that either.
