Facebook timeline is something built into Facebook for modern browsers, and you'll have to trick Facebook into thinking that your web browser isn't capable of running the new timeline.

The only thing I could find was to install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/, and change the user agent to Internet Explorer 7. If that works, please let me know.

Hi deano49,

You could take a look at this article:

http://blazomania.com/2012/03/02/how-to-disable-facebook-timeline-for-profiles-on-mozilla-firefox-working/

I can't guarantee that it works, but a google search did turn up quite a few other options if that one isn't what you are looking for.

Hopefully this helps!

Tylerdowner <- I installed the add-on. I changed the user agent. The f*ing timeline is still there.

Matt_G <- Trendmicro's Titanium won't let me load that weblink. Must be something malicious involved there.

Facebook can kiss my ass. I will no longer be using it. Too bad Firefox doesn't have a better option to get rid of it.

It isn't really Firefox's fault, too much, as this is a design decision by Facebook :/ Sorry none of those worked.

You are correct. It is not fair to blame Firefox for something the idiots at Facebook have done. I have not been impressed by all of the "new" features or changes they have made over the short 2 1/2 years I've been on Facebook. This was just the last straw. Too bad I was fooled into thinking that the latest change was fixable. With all the posts I've read expressing hatred of the new Timeline you would think they would have gotten the message. Perhaps they want folks to stop using it. Or perhaps they think that folks will scream for awhile then knuckle under. Just like the politicians, huh? I don't NEED Facebook. Thanks.
