Thunderbird crashes with blue screen

DXGMMS1 is related to nvidia.

Make sure your video drivers are newest.

All Drivers are the Newest, also the Bios and All Windows Updates.

The problem is Only with Thunderbird.

Does it crash in safe mode (hold Shift when launching TB)? If it doesn't crash, it suggests that hardware acceleration in Options/General/Indexing should be disabled in normal mode (which can be done in safe mode by double-clicking gfx.direct2d.disabled to true in Config. editor).

As you probably know, video drivers and OS should never allow an application to cause an OS crash.

That said, please try starting Thunderbird in safe mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

Currently Thunderbird does not start either in the safe or in the normal mode. I will try switching off the acceleration by turning off the hardware. Yesterday it still worked without any problems, but not since the Adobe Flash deinstallation update from microsoft and unfortunately I will not get rid of the update either!

Does this PC have a dedicated video card as well as integrated video? Some users seem to avoid issues by disabling the integrated graphics.
