I can open up thunderbird ok, but after a while (usually fine in the beginning) when I open an email to read it (gets fed from my gmail account and has for years), the screen goes black and I cannot see/read the mail. Then usually afterwards Thunderbirds crashes. When I start it up again, all fine in the beginning, then same problem occurs. Tried opening in safe mode as well but the same thing happens. Would be great if anyone knew this problem and even better if you have a solution ;-)

Sandra,

Was your report based on version 52.1.0? Or 52.1.1?

If you are really crashing you will have crash IDs that you can post for us. Please visit https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-crash-reporter-tb#w_viewing-crash-reports for instructions and post your crash IDs here.

Thanks in advance

1. Please always submit all your crash reports. 2. Does crash go away if you update to 52.2.0??

I have it set to automatically update and I only got 52.1.1 in May 17.

How do I get 52.2.0?

Don't want to jump for joy too soon but so far thunderbird has been working much better.
