My filter blocks firefox from downloading if I had an IP range for update servers I can unblock it.

We use iBoss filtering and block .exe extentions by default but can allow them for certain IP ranges.

I pinged mozilla.org and here's the IP I got: 63.245.215.20

This should work for your filter, try it out and reply back if it doesn't.
