When I sign in to one of my frequently used web pages I get a suggested user name that is not relevant to that page. How do I change or remove the suggested user name?

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list
  3. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

hello, go to firefox > options > privacy & chose "Use custom settings for history", then you can disable the storage of form data. Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms with your information

in case firefox is filling in the password automatically too, you can change that in the security tab (also in the options panel). Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox
