Hi

For the last 2 days I have been getting the "This Connection is Untrusted" message every time I do a search or try to go to a site that is not in my history.

I have tried clearing cache and cookies and resetting firefox.

Technical Data:

www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate will not be valid until 19/06/2013 13:44. The current time is 05/06/2013 08:07.

(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

I am a little worried about pressing "I understand risks" since it seems a little strange that googles certificate is not for 2 weeks any suggestions?

Thanks

Hey sjs05,

This error can occur when your computer clock's date has been set wrong. Try setting your computer's date back to the current date and time, according to your time zone.

Check out this article, "This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do also.

Thanks guys

Don't I feel the fool! First thing I checked and checked many times; kept saying to myself "yeah it's the 5th", the month just did not register. Was checking some dates from last month and did not change back.

Everything is working again.

On the plus side it forced me to do all the scans and system checks I had been putting off.

Your help is much appreciated.

Checked the date and time again and again - still no good for me :(

Annoyingly in IE there's no problem at all.
