Can't download latest version onto Windows XP
Every time I open Firefox, I see the message to upgrade to the latest version. However, when I try to upgrade, nothing changes. Today, I tried to download Firefox from scratch and the same thing occurred. I can find version 22 in my control panel, but it does not seem to work. Do I need to uninstall Firefox completely. I hate to do that because I will lose my large list of bookmarks.

Actually to be more specific the google.com/firefox page was maintained by Google until Firefox 4.0 Release when it was changed to about:home in Fx 4.0. The Fx 3.6.28 was the last to use the old Google.com/firefox/

hello, don't worry - you're already using firefox 22 which is the latest version available.
the message you're seeing is probably just showing up, because you're using google.com/firefox as your homepage, which was only maintained until firefox 3 and now shows the warning message you've referred to no matter what browser version you're using. change the homepage to about:home in order to address the issue & to get the current firefox homepage...
