new tab open allways a website, how can i fix this

After install some programs, a extension was instaled and the main page chaged for something called "babylon". then i deleted the extension and configured the main page again, but every time i open a new tab, the same page opens, and i want the new tab in black

hello ritaramatias, please enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), then search for the preference named browser.newtab.url and right-click & reset it to its default value (about:newtab). this should bring up the new-tab-page on new tabs - although not black.
