I have long used FF; suddenly with 3.6.3 (or whatever is latest from mozilla.com), it starts as a process ("firefox.exe *32) but never displays a window. will NOT start in safe mode either; tried creating a new profile (per instructions from FF support chat line) -- also no-go. Previously tried completely uninstalling/reinstalling/rebooting & removing all Mozilla folders after uninstalling -- still no luck

According to this section, you will have to create a new profile and migrate to it.

As stated in original post, I tried creating & using a new profile -- still no-go.

How long does firefox.exe stay in task manager? (Indefinitely, or does it disappear after a time?)

Also, could you check other 32-bit applications to see if they load? (Are you able to access the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer?)
