Just as a test, download another version like Beta, Dev, or Nightly and use it for some time to see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

I've been seeing the hanging on mostly on Windows since 102, but I'm not on Windows that much. I'm not seeing this on my mac 10.13.6.
