Android "Send to other device" duplicate bug?

more options

I love the tab feature that lest me "Send to other device". It is my favorite method to view tabs in my Android devices and send the good ones to my desktop for organizing as bookmarks that I can later view on all of my devices.

Recently - probably after a Firefox update - the mechanism broke as follows:

- Instead of seeing my desktop listed once when I try to Send to other device, I see it listed twice. - When I click on the top listing, the tab does not get sent - it is a dud. - When I click on the bottom listing, the tab gets sent fine (even if a bit slow). - The behavior is identical no matter which Android device I use (I tested with a phone and a tablet), only the bottom instance of the desktop results on sending the tab.

Is this a known bug? (in other words, the devs know about it and plan to fix it)

Is there a workaround to remove the dead (top) instance? (until the devs get around to fixing it automatically in an upcoming patch)

Thanks.

Hi, you have to go to https://accounts.firefox.com and remove duplicated devices.

Thanks, but unfortunately there were no duplicates listed there. The dead duplicate only shows on my Android devices, even after a full device restart.

It was still useful to check though, as I discovered that a phone I no longer use was still enabled.

Urgh, I misclicked on the Helpful button and I can't seem to be able to change it back to the right value.

Also, my reply with quote did not seem to post. So I'll type it here:

- I checked and there were no duplicates that I could delete. Bummer.

- Checking was useful although unrelated to the issue, as I discovered an old phone listed there so I was able to remove it.
