Firefox extension install greyed out

Please see attached image. Whenever I try to install an extension on firefox quantum 68.2.0 ESR it simply shows a greyed out button I cannot press. The only article I can find on this offers the solution that it can be fixed using another plugin (which I can't install for the same reason...)

Is your Firefox installation managed by an IT Department? To see whether your Firefox has a policy that blocks installing extensions, type or paste about:policies in the address bar and press Enter/Return view any active policies. Anything there?
