Lately, when I open a photo on my hard drive whether it be a .jpg, .tiff, or .pdf, it automatically opens in a firefox window. I go and change the default settings to open in Preview and everything works fine for about 2 minutes. Then afterwords, Firefox becomes the default again. Frustrating. Any ideas on what's going on and how to keep my default settings to preview.

Thanks

Did you click on the file properties to see what it is associated with?

Yes. I'm using a Mac so I'm guessing file properties are the same as "Get Info". At the bottom there's a section called "Open with" which also keeps changing back to Firefox no matter how many times I change it to Preview.
