I browse a lot and even in private browsing end up having a lot of cached web content so I pulled the "open options" app out of the menu and put it beside my search window. after browsing a while I'll go into open options and click advanced and click clear cashed web content and until 12/13/16 it took away all cached content and went to zero but now the least it shows after clearing is 352 it never goes to zero anymore.

Note that you may have to refresh the about:preferences#advanced page with the Network tab open to update the cache usage because clearing the cache is done in the background. You can check the about:cache page to see what content is still in the cache.

Location of the cache files; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above, and remove the folder.

After 48 hours of having 352 in my web content cache it has gone to zero, by its self maybe a patch was sent out or something but it is gone and I'm happy!
