Recently I've been configuring some toolbars and buttons' position through firefox `Customize'. However, this personal preference won't be synchronized via firefox `Sync' feature. Is there any way to do this?

Hi old_bear,

Thank you for contacting our support community.

Firefox can not synchronize your customization, since in some cases it is necessary to install other programs for this and Firefox does not have this autonomy.

What can be synchronized are your Firefox settings. In the Sync menu, simply set the "Preferences" box.

You can consider to sync the browser.uiCustomization.state pref by creating a corresponding services.sync.prefs.sync pref.

  • services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.uiCustomization.state = true

The services.sync.prefs.sync.* prefs specify what prefs to include in syncing (true means to include the pref).

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
