Moved from XP to Win 7 and ported profile, after move, the separator bars are only 1 pixel wide

I just moved from an XP x86 machine to a Win 7 x64 installation. I installed the latest version of Thunderbird (24.6.0) and ported the profile to the new installation. Everything came over OK, except the separator bars between panes are pencil thin (1 pixel) wide.

I switched between the different Layout modes. Initially the horizontal separator in the Classic View wouldn't go down, but would only go up. And when I moved it up, it would make the header bar on the message wider and not really resize the window in any useful way. That went away when I closed the program and rebooted (I don't know if rebooting or closing down did the trick, but I can resize the windows without any problem now.

I still have the pencil thin splitter bars (pane separators). It's visually annoying. I can make a screen shot, but I'm not sure if it can be posted here.

Thanks, Bill

There is an "add images" option right below the text box you use when you post here. You'll need to save your screenshot as a graphics file, preferably gif or png format, and upload it.

I too got the thin borders and hated it. I looked for alternative Themes to fix it and settled on this one:
