Windows 7 New version of Firefox

When typing a site address in the Location Bar and hitting ENTER, nothing happens. I have returned to the previous version of Firefox and this capability works fine. This is a function I use a lot.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to open a new window to see if the location bar work in that new window.
