I tried the about:config solution I found here - set browser.tabs.ontop to false - but it didn't work.

I tried the Classic Toolbar Restorer add-on mentioned in some of the responses and it worked perfectly, so I'm all set. Thank you to Aris for the add-on.

Cross-Reference to other thread: I'm having a problem with Firefox Nightly since update 28.0a1 (2013-11-19). By browser.tabs.OnTop configuration is set to false, but the tabs are on top. Help?
