The Adobe Flash plugin keeps crashing on Firefox 12.0, and my Plugin Check link in Addons Manager directs to https://www.mozilla.com/en/404 .

Is this a hack attempt? Is Firefox 3.6 safer than the release channel?

Hey FFForever,

It looks like the redirect for the plugin checker just isn't working. It's still going to a Mozilla site, so I'd assume it's safe. You can hit the url directly at:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

Hopefully this helps!

The plugin check URL still points to the mozilla.com domain and the link on that server no longer redirects to the mozilla.org domain and that causes to get an error page.

You can set the String pref plugins.update.url to https://www.mozilla.org/%LOCALE%/plugincheck/ on the about:config page.

Thankss, but it sounds a bit complicated for me. Maybe I can just reinstall FF?

~And would switching back to FF 3.6 (or whatever the latest Official release is), rather than being on the new Release Channel be safer than FF 12?
