multiple java plug ins
I'm using FF V 10.0.2 and I have a question about Java plug in. I have the following installed: SE 6 U 30 6.0.300.12 SE 6 U 31 6.0.310.5 The question is do I need both of them and, if not, I should I go ahead and delete one of them-U 30 I presume?

Try to remove all Java versions and reinstall the latest Java.
Thanks for the reply, but, I only need to know if should remove the U30 Java plug in from the FF plug in directory.
You can see the installed plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can set the pref plugin.expose_full_path to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.
It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
Sorry to keep asking the same question, but, I've attached a screen shot of my plug in directory showing both U30 and U31 plugins. Should I delete the U30 version?
Yes, delete the U30, because always we keep the latest which is U31 right now.
thank you
Thanks for the reply. How do I delete them? I can disable, but, not delete. I tried running as an administrator, but, it still doesn't allow me to delete/remove. That used to work in V3.6.26 in removing Java console, but not here.
cor-el give you the link in his first reply
thanks again
Thanks for your reply. I tried to use that software, but, it wants to download a ZIP file. I like to think I'm pretty handy around a computer, but, I couldn't figure out how to download and run the program from a ZIP file. Any instructions would be appreciated. So far I've disabled the U30 plug in. That's all FF will let me do. I tried running as an administrator-that used to work, but, no more.
Un-zip it and run file with name JavaRa (391 kb).{remember to disable UAC before run the file}
thanks again
