I recently upgraded to Firefox 3.6.23.

My VOIP provider copies my voicemail messages to .WAV files and sends them to my email. Very handy.

When I try to download such a file, Firefox pops up a dialog asking me what program to use; it correctly remembers that my choice is the "Windows Media Player" (which is also called out in "Tools/Options/Applications").

The dialog also has a checkbox labeled "Do this automatically for files like this from now on". I set this checkbox many boots ago, and the dialog always pops up with it set, but it never does what the label says. I always have to click "OK" to proceed.

Fix?

That choice only work if the files are send with a valid MIME type.
