I am building a website with Rage software. When I open the page in the sites folder on my computer (Mac OSX 10.6.8) to view a page as it would appear on the Internet it won't open in firefox. I get an error message: Java Script application The following extension(s) are required by Page Speed

and must be installed before it can run:

Thank you for the link. I clicked to download it, message came up, not compatible with Fire Fox 5. Do you happen to know how I can get the pop up to naff off. I have pop up turned off on my computer already. Thanks.

Hi stressmatters, I had the same problem, but when I click on the last file in the list (firebug-1.7.3.xpi) it worked

Thank you for the suggestion. I solved this problem by deleting and reinstalling Fire Fox. I am not sure which one I was running, but doing this stopped the pop up. I use Safari more than Firefox, so I am not too bothered about having the latest updates. I do believe this happened when I updated prior to deleting and reinstalling.

Instead of uninstalling and re-installing firefox, just go to Tool/add-ons, then disable and/or delete PageSpeed (under extensions).
