Firefox automatic update interferes with active web session
I found that my session activity on a secure (logged-in) website was being interfered with. I could not log-out of that website. After I closed Firefox, a notice appeared that an update was in progress. Why should a Firefox update interfere with an active session? Is this an updating issue that needs fixing?

I do agree. Which is why I can't use Firefox at work. Noticed a long time ago that if the update downloads and you don't restart, there will be issues until you restart. At work I use Chrome Beta and see the notification that the browser needs to restart for the update process to complete and I ignore it for some time, but have never noticed any impact while I work. Someone closer to Dev will have to chime in on why not restarting the browser after the update has been downloaded interferes with your current session.

Forgot to ask, what do you have set here? see screenshot With this set it will just notify you and you will have to download the update.
I have automatic updates installed, but with selected checkbox for "When Firefox is not running"
