id like to delete an old email i no longer use from my drop down menu email suggestions, but i have no idea how. when i go to sign into google say, i go to enter my email and the other email pops up along with my current email underneath in a suggestions list and i want to remove it so that it doesn't show up anymore.

it's probably part of "form history". To clear that:

When you see the suggestion in the drop down, use the down arrow key on the keyboard to highlight it, then press Delete or Shift+Delete to remove it.
