Ever since the recent Thunderbird update on Aug 30, 2016. I have been getting the "confirm security exception" error message and then the one

Sending of password for user ***@gmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: login failure or POP3 disabled, try later. sc=5TGF700icqM1_310829_15m

I checked all the configurations - It is OK. Password - OK. I logged in via browser and checked mail - OK.

However, still getting the message....

Thanks christ1 for your response. I solved the problem. It was not a password issue...

What I did was simply "uninstall" Thunderbird and "reinstall" it again. I did not loose any data (emails).

As soon as I reinstalled, it seems to be working fine. No error messages. No settings changed, etc.

What I did was simply "uninstall" Thunderbird and "reinstall" it again. I did not loose any data (emails).

As soon as I reinstalled, it seems to be working fine. No error messages. No settings changed, etc.
