I used to be able to edit web pages in Netscape and upload them via WS_FTPLE but latest version doesn't seem to be able to. Internet says Firefox (which we've been using for quite some time) is supposed to be "equivalent/better" than Netscape so looked for, and can't find, where and how to edit web pages so I can upload them via WS_FTPLE. Please could you advise if this is possible and where/how to do it? Many thanks.

Firefox itself doesn't support editing of web pages. You might want to take a look at 'seamonkey' ( http://www.seamonkey-project.org/ ).

Firefox has a Source Viewer which doesn't allow editing. There is a hidden preference you can change that will allow you to use the program of your choice. http://kb.mozillazine.org/View_source.editor.path
