Obsolete addresses (in autocomplete list)

When I address an email, the list of suggested addresses always contains unwanted suggestions (for instance, obsolete emails). I would like to be able to edit the Collected Addresses in order to eliminate the obsolete addresses. I understand from a previous answer to a related query that the file which contains the Collected Addresses is history.sqlite. I don't, however, know what application to open this with, or whether it is in fact editable. Could someone kindly advise?

Incidentally, there is a similar problem with all Windows 10 mail applications that I know of, but only Outlook provides a utility for removing addresses (there is an X next to each suggestion when a list appears).

Bad idea, and completely unnecessary.

Just open the Thunderbird Address Book. If you use TB102 it's a button in the Spaces vertical toolbar on the left of the main Thunderbird window. Individual address books are shown in the left pane. Collected Addresses is one of them. Just delete any obsolete contacts there.
