I have received a notice that Gmail will bar access to third party apps unless certain conditions are met. (See attached jpg). Google categorizes Thunderbird as a third party app. What can I do to continue to be able to download my gmail into Thunderbird on my windows 10 computer.? If not yet done, turn on OAuth2 authentication in your account settings for the Gmail account. That goes for both, the incoming, and outgoing server. After a Thunderbird restart you'll be prompted for your Google credentials, and you'll have to allow Thunderbird to access your Gmail account.
