I use Google Bookmarks as my Home Page.

After last night's Firefox update, any attempt to open Google Bookmarks - either as my Home Page or from a new tab as a new search, results in a constantly flashing "redirecting - connecting - redirecting - connecting - ....." messages in the tab.

Initially it also displayed a constantly flashing "Firefox blocked .......... redirect" message as a popup, so I have turned off Advanced Settings / General / Accessabiility / "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page". That has stopped the messages, but the Google Bookmarks page still will not open.

Chosen solution

Hi, try this: Delete ALL references to Google Bookmarks, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again. Note: It may take a minute to complete the deletion.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Thank you very much - that has fixed it. Interestingly, my "Show all history" crashed Firefox, but after restarting, the History Library appeared ok.
