I downloaded some updates for Windows 10, and my firefox browser no longer worked at all! Tried to download the latest version of Firefox and kept getting a box that said I had to close Firefox before the download could progress, but my Firefox browser wasn't open. Could not get past that box! Any ideas out there? Would be so grateful!! Am a long-time Firefox user and prefer it to all others! Thanks for any help you can give! Miki

HI again, sweetheart! I finally found the place where the updates were listed and uninstalled KB3194496, and when I restarted the computer which a box recommended, it was immediately reinstalled, just like you said. How can I keep that from happening? It has totally messed up our browsers and several other programs, and we do not want it! If it is inevitable, can we go back to our Windows 7? It gave us no problems at all...

Also, tried downloading a fresh version of Firefox to see if that would fix the problem, and the same box opened that said I had to close Firefox for the installation to proceed. Firefox was NOT open, and I couldn't get past that box!
