the youtube website works just fine but any video posted to Facebook won't play. This is a fresh install of firefox on a fresh windows 7 install with all critical updates applied.

Hello pdean10061976,

You need to install Flash Player Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems - just follow the steps under "Updating Flash".

Be sure to un-check the box for optional software (such as Google Chrome or McAfee Security Scan)
